Loy Krathong – This festival is celebrated on the full moon of the twelfth lunar month. On this day, the night sky lights up the entire Kingdom. Chinese New Year – This festival is widely celebrated in Thailand. It constitutes as a major festival of Thailand and is popular among the Thai-Chinese community. Most celebrated among the communities like Yaowarat district in Bangkok and in the provinces of Suphan Buri, Ayutthaya, Nakhon Ratchasima, Nakhon Sawan, Chon Buri, Ratchaburi, Chiang Mai, Songkhla and Phuket.

Rub Bua Festival – The festival is also known as the Lotus Flower Receiving Festival. Celebrated just one day before the end of the Buddhist Rain Retreat, the event includes the ceremony of locals throwing lotus flowers onto the boat carrying a replica of a revered Buddha image.

Ubon Ratchathani Candle Festival
Ubon Ratchathani Candle Festival - It takes place while the seasonal rains take place in Thailand. The festival marks the traditional parading of candles. The event takes place around the days of Asanha Puja. For this day, candles are carved a couple of days before the procession. On the D day, the candles are taken to the Hung Si Mueang Park. There takes place the decoration and exhibition. In the evening, the procession takes place at the temples.

Phi Ta Khon Festival – This event is related to the superstitious beliefs of the locals in ghosts and spirits. For the celebrations, young locals dress up as “spirits” wearing long trailing costumes made from colorful strips of cloth sewn together.

Hae Pha Khuen That Festival – Celebrated in the southern province of Nakhon Si Thammarat, this festival represents the community spirit and foster unity and has been observed for some 800 years.

Tak Bat Dok Mai Festival
 Tak Bat Dok Mai Festival – The event marks the celebrations in the Saraburi province. On this day, locals indulge in offering candles, cooked rice, food, incense and other conventional sacred items, in the Tak Bat Dok Mai ritual.

Phra Samut Chedi Fair – This is the longest temple fair in Thailand. The fair starts with parades. For ten full days, the city carves out into a beautiful festival destination.

Monkey Buffet Festival – A grand Monkey Buffet is put by the local businessmen. Over the years, this festival has turned into one of the biggest monkey parties.
